Grown on a steep hillside above the fog line, this powerful, Bordeaux-style blend is an exceptional example of the magical combination of meticulous farming, a unique mountain site, and principled winemaking. Leslie Rudd, had a simple vision in creating our Mt. Veeder vineyard: “The best is good enough.” It’s only fitting to dedicate this exquisite, bold wine to him.

From the Rudd Mt. Veeder Estate situated at 1500’ altitude, with a south-eastern exposure, white grape varieties ripen slowly to develop complex aromatics while preserving freshness and fluid, mineral texture. Produced only in exceptional vintages, the Susan’s Blanc is a blend of Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris, blended to reflect the best expression of site and place through refined aromatics and vibrant texture with a potential to age gracefully for many years.
